Ahli United Bank (AUB) has received three prestigious awards from Euroweek, a leading provider of information on global capital markets, for securing a successful US$ 800 million loan facility in September last year.
Ahli United Bank has today announced its financial results for the year 2008. The Bank recorded a 4.5% growth in total operating income to US$ 665.5 million (2007: US$ 637.0 million). The Bank’s reported net profit of US$ 255.7 million for the year (2007: US$ 296.3 million) was impacted by increased levels of specific and precautionary provisions taken in light of the prevailing adverse operating environment.

Scenario and Challenges:
AUB was faced with huge volumes of transaction data that needed to notified/sent to customers in a timely basis. Statements delivered to customers for daily/weekly/bi-weekly and monthly basis. The most efficient and cost effective way to deliver these notes, statements and confirmation orders is to be able to deliver them electronically to customers in a secure, password protected with multilingual.
The solution should scale to accommodate the growing volume of transactions and customers and not affect performance in the generation and delivery of statements in a timely and efficient manner.
The brokerage wanted to efficiently manage and administer their customer support operations for handling customer queries via a self care portal and enable users to have access and be able to print duplicate statements.
Moreover, AUB wanted to send out a consolidated statement to customers detailing their CASA(Current and Savings Account),Fixed Deposit,Credit Card, Investment with the Transaction all in one single unified statement through Global Customer Management to save on printing and dispatch costs.
Global Customer Management is the Key features for the AUB, The Global customer management means we can make account globaly or in Groups, If a customers has more then one accounts in different country(Entity) then we will made Group of this accounts into a single consolidated statement.
AUB was also looking for a cost-effective solution that would help the bank with a consolidated statement presentation solution to handle all their products through statement delivery via bulk email and merging the bulk statements for printing.
Data had to be consolidated from Entities wise flat files of all products and with Customers information. This data had to be warehoused with multilingual format for universal interchange across platforms and systems.
A single bank customer has multiple relationships with the bank like CASA (Current account/Savings account), credit card, fixed deposit, investments in different country(Entity). The bank wanted to consolidate these numerous product and service relationship information into a single view for presentation and delivery.
The bank needed to inform and update customers with new innovative products and solutions it was offering on a regular basis. AUB wanted to use the customer account statement to advertise products and services targeted to the customer based on the customer’s profile, thereby increasing marketing campaign.
The entire process of statement generation, printing and dispatch had to be automated end to end. A consolidated single statement generated for multiple products and services offered by the bank needed to be dispatched to customers in print or electronic format for efficient and cost effective delivery.
A simple web based interface to manage and administer the entire statement generation and dispatch of statements with reconciliation audits and logs to ensure statements that were erroneously printed, not delivered or statement emails were resent and tracked accordingly.
AUB needed a customer communication management specialist to help them with a solution to present a consistent unified view of customer information across their banking interfaces like call centers and printed statements mailed out.

The Solution
