Introduction:
Competition and Globalization has forced organizations
world-wide to focus more and more on timely and quality customer service.
Telecom Operators are facing this increase in competition and customer
demands more than any other industry. This has given rise to new challenges
in increasing the customer base, increasing revenues and profits, as well
as retaining existing customers. The Telecommunication industry is one
of the most competitive industries worldwide and each telecom operator
is thriving to offer the best and unique solution to its customers.
With more than 2 billion handsets in use around the
world, the mobile phone is one of the most accessible and widely used
pieces of technology on the planet. SEEinfobiz leverages this huge audience
to make the mobile phone one of the most efficient and direct billing
mechanisms available
Current Market Scenario
Increasingly tech-savvy, mobile users expect their handsets
to provide more and more features and flexibility, as well as desktop
handiness on the move. The growth of this Mobile Internet is giving rise
to vast commercial opportunity.
India is now the 4th largest market for mobile phones
and by the end of 2009, it is expected to overcome both US and Russia
to become the second largest market only after China. The mobile sector
in India has grown from around 10 million subscribers in the year 2002
to over 150 million at the end of February 2007, out of which 108 million
are GSM based and the remaining 42 million are on CDMA 2000-1x technology.
At the present growth rate of nearly 6 million mobiles per month, India
is set to have 250 million mobile phones by end 2007. The next target
is 400 million mobile phones by 2010
